Hello, world (again)
Why I'm starting a blog, and what I'll write about here.
Every developer writes a “Hello, world” at some point. This is mine, for a blog.
I build a lot of small things: tools that fix one annoying problem, browser games, websites. Most of them come with a story. A bug that made no sense. A fix that turned out to be one line. A number that went from “that’s terrible” to “oh, that’s nice”.
Until now those stories lived in commit messages and in my head. This notebook is where I’ll write them down.
What to expect
- Build stories: how something went from an idea, or an annoyance, to a thing that works.
- Bugs and fixes: the weird ones, explained in plain words.
- Small how-tos: things I had to figure out and wish someone had written down for me.
No fluff, real numbers, and screenshots when they help.
